Adopt Me! is a Roblox game by Uplift Games, out since 2017. You hatch eggs, raise pets until they are full grown and trade them with other players. It is one of the most-visited Roblox games of all time.

## How pets grow

Pets have needs, like being hungry, thirsty, sleepy or bored. Look after them and they age up step by step, from Newborn all the way to Full Grown.

- **Eggs**: Pets come from eggs bought with in-game money or earned in events. Each egg has its own pet list.
- **Rarity**: Pets run from common to legendary. Rare pets are worth far more in trades.
- **Neon pets**: Combine four Full Grown copies of the same pet to make a glowing Neon pet.
- **Mega Neon**: Combine four Full Grown Neons of the same pet for a Mega Neon.

## Trading basics

Trading is the long game in Adopt Me. Players swap pets, toys and vehicles, and fan value lists help people judge fair deals. Always trade through the game's own trade window, and never give items first on a promise. Scams in Adopt Me almost always skip that window.

Tip for new players: do not take a trade just because it adds lots of pets. One Neon legendary can be worth more than a full screen of common pets. Check a few value lists and ask friends before a big swap.


## More than pets

You also get a house to decorate, jobs for money and seasonal events that bring new eggs. That mix of caring, collecting and showing off is why it has stayed near the top of Roblox for years.

Pets also ride in strollers, wear accessories and follow you around town, so a rare pet is as much about showing off as about value.
