Welcome to Bloxburg is a life sim on Roblox, created by the Swedish developer Coeptus and released in November 2014. You build and decorate a house, work jobs around town to pay for it, and roleplay a daily life with other players. It is one of the longest-running hits on Roblox, with billions of visits.

## Build mode

Build mode is the heart of Bloxburg. You place walls, floors, roofs, windows and stairs on your plot, then fill rooms with furniture and decorations. Every piece costs Bloxburg money, so a bigger house means more work. Builders spend hours on detailed homes, and showing them off is a big part of the community.

- **Plot**: Your land. Bigger plots cost more.
- **Rooms and walls**: Draw rooms, change wall colors and materials.
- **Furniture**: Beds, kitchens, sofas and hundreds of decorations.

## Jobs and daily life

- **Jobs**: Work as a pizza delivery driver, cashier, hairdresser, fisherman and more. Pay goes up as you get better at a job.
- **Needs**: Your character gets hungry, tired and dirty, like in The Sims. Cook, sleep and shower to stay in shape.
- **Skills**: Cooking, gardening and other skills level up as you use them.
- **Neighbors and roleplay**: Visit other players' houses, invite friends to live with you, and play out family life.

## Access and beginner tips

For most of its life Bloxburg cost a small one-time fee in Robux to enter. Reports in 2024 said it moved to free entry, so check the game's Roblox page for the current price. It runs on phones, PC and consoles.

- **Pick one job early**: Pay rises with job level, so sticking to one job pays more at first.
- **Build small, then expand**: A cozy starter house leaves money for furniture.
- **Keep needs up**: A tired or hungry character works slower.

## Life sims on Roam

Rent Before Curfew is a city life sim on Roam: rent is due, the clock says 17:04, and you need to earn it. Unboxed is a cozy unpacking puzzle where six boxes turn a new room into a home. They are Roam games, not Bloxburg.
