'Brainrot simulator' covers a few different kinds of games. The most common are battle simulators, where you place brainrot armies and watch them fight, and collect-and-earn games like Steal a Brainrot on Roblox. Here is how each format plays, and where to try a brainrot battle sim on Roam.

## The four simulator formats

- **Battle simulator**: Place two armies, press start, let physics decide. Landfall made the format famous with Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, in early access from 2019 and fully released in April 2021.
- **Steal and earn**: Buy brainrots, put them in your base, and they earn money every second while others try to steal them. Steal a Brainrot, a Roblox hit from May 2025, is the big one.
- **Catch and evolve**: Trap brainrots in the wild, feed them and evolve them on your farm. Catch a Brainrot on Roblox, from the developer Indieun, launched in July 2025.
- **Merge and defend**: Summon units, merge two into a stronger one and hold a road against waves. It is tower defense with brainrot faces.

## Tips for brainrot battle sims

Put tough units in front and fast hitters behind. A wall that soaks hits while the damage dealers work beats one big blob almost every time.

Spend on a few strong units before many weak ones, then test. Battle sims are about trying again, so a lost fight is just data.

Change one thing between fights. If you swap the whole army, you never learn what made the difference.

Use the map. High ground, choke points and gaps matter in most battle sims, and silly units still fall off cliffs.
