# Chained Together: climb out of hell on one chain

Chained Together is a co-op climbing game by Anegar Games, released on Steam on June 19, 2024. Up to four players are chained to each other and climb a tower of floating platforms, starting in hell. When one of you falls, the chain can pull everyone else down too.

## Why the chain changes everything

Alone, most jumps would be easy. With a chain, every jump depends on where your friends are standing. Jump too far and you yank someone off a ledge. Jump at the same time and you both swing into the void.

A fall is not always the end. If a teammate stays planted on solid ground, they can hold the others and help them climb back. That is what makes the game funny and loud: one player saves the team, or one player drops it back down a whole level.

It took off fast. About 85,000 people were playing at once soon after launch, and it holds very positive Steam reviews. It is still on PC only.


## Tips that save your team

- **Call every jump**: Say 'going' before you jump. Surprise jumps cause most falls.
- **One person anchors**: Someone stays on solid ground while the next player moves.
- **Move in a line**: Keep slack in the chain so nobody gets pulled sideways.
- **Rest on wide platforms**: Regroup where there is room before a hard section.
- **Laugh it off**: Long falls happen to every team. The climb back is part of the game.

## A Roam climber with a rope

Clip In or Fall on Roam is a roped mountain-climbing game: two climbers, one rope and a long way down. It is a separate game, not Chained Together, and it is built for two instead of four.
