# Five Nights at Freddy's online: free FNAF-style games

Five Nights at Freddy's is a paid, single-player horror series. The original is on the iPhone App Store, Google Play, Steam and consoles, and it has no online mode. Roam has free night-shift horror games on iPhone in the same style, and you can make your own with friends in it.

## Where to play Five Nights at Freddy's

Scott Cawthon released the first Five Nights at Freddy's in 2014. You are a night guard at a pizzeria, watching cameras and saving power while animatronics move toward your office between midnight and 6 AM. Every camera check, light and closed door drains the power.

The original is a paid app on iPhone and Android, and most of the classic games came to phones too. The series is also on PC through Steam and on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. The second film, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, came out in US theaters on December 5, 2025.

- **Five Nights at Freddy's (2014)**: The original: cameras, doors, lights and a power meter.
- **FNAF 2 (2014) and FNAF 3 (2015)**: No doors in 2, a mask instead. 3 has one stalking animatronic, Springtrap.
- **Sister Location (2016) and Pizzeria Simulator (2017)**: More story, then a pizzeria tycoon on top of the horror.
- **Ultimate Custom Night (2018)**: Pick from dozens of animatronics and set how hard each one is.
- **Security Breach (2021) and Secret of the Mimic (2025)**: 3D games you explore on foot: a giant Pizzaplex in Security Breach, a costume workshop in Secret of the Mimic.

## A free game like FNAF on Roam

These are not FNAF and have none of its characters. They share the night shift: a fixed spot, cameras, a resource that runs out and a clock to beat. All are free on iPhone.

- **Night Watch**: Watch the cameras, save the battery, make it to 6 AM. The most classic match.
- **Dead Feed**: 12 AM, battery at 99%, six hours to go. Hold out until 6 AM.
- **Brainrot Pizzeria**: A pizzeria security shift that starts at 12 AM. Try to clock out alive.
- **Ghost Watch: Night Shift**: Six cameras, one night. You spot what changed, closer to I'm on Observation Duty.

## Make your own FNAF-style game

Roam is a free iPhone app. Describe the game in a sentence and it comes back playable, with the world, art, characters, sound and rules. Change it by talking, like "add a fifth camera" or "make the battery drain faster". Friends can be in the game: put them in as the animatronics, then send it to them.

- **A room you cannot leave**: All the fear comes from what you cannot see.
- **Cameras**: Checking them helps you and costs you.
- **A meter that drains**: Power, battery or oxygen. When it hits zero, you are open.
- **A clock to 6 AM**: A short, clear goal that makes every minute count.
