# Flood Escape 2: beat the water to the exit

Flood Escape 2 is a Roblox platformer by Crazyblox Games, released in 2017 as the sequel to the original Flood Escape. Each round drops a group onto a map, the water starts rising, and everyone races to press buttons, open the way and reach the exit before the flood catches them.

## How a round works

Every map is an obstacle course with buttons along the route. Pressing them opens doors, lowers bridges and moves platforms, so the group needs them done to get through. Meanwhile the water climbs behind you, and sometimes it turns to acid.

Unlike the first Flood Escape, water does not kill you on touch. You swim, and an air meter drains while you are under. Run out of air and you drown. Acid drains it much faster, so falling in acid is close to the end of the run.

You move by running, swimming, sliding, diving, wall-jumping and ziplining. The official game lists over 150 community-made maps, and it has been on Xbox One since January 2018.


## Tips to escape more often

- **Learn one map at a time**: Routes repeat, so knowing where the buttons are is half the work.
- **Split up for buttons**: In a group, spread out so buttons get pressed in parallel.
- **Surface early**: Come up for air before the meter is low, not when it is empty.
- **Respect the acid**: If the water turns green, get high and stay high.
- **Play the real game**: Several lookalike servers exist. The official one is by Crazyblox Games.

## A Roam flood escape

Climb or Drown on Roam is a first-person flood escape: the water is rising and the door is closing. It is a separate game, not Flood Escape 2, and it plays from your own eyes instead of a third-person camera, which makes the water feel much closer.
