# New car games

GTA VI arrives on November 19, 2026, and only on PS5 and Xbox Series, so plenty of people are looking for car games they can play now. Here are the new and big ones, then car games that are not races at all: delivery, theft, demolition and road survival on Roam.

## The big new car games

- **Grand Theft Auto VI (Rockstar, November 19, 2026)**: The car-game event of the year. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only at launch, not on PC.
- **Forza Horizon 6 (May 2026)**: Open-world driving in Japan on Xbox Series and PC, with PS5 to follow.
- **JDM: Japanese Drift Master (2025)**: Open-world drifting through Japanese roads, PC first and later on consoles.
- **Octane (Roblox)**: An open-world racer in Roblox's fall 2026 lineup.
- **Drive Mad and Drift Hunters**: Long-running web car games: one about getting a wobbly car over obstacles, one about drifting for points.

## Pick by what you want

GTA VI and Forza Horizon 6 need a console or a PC. The rest work on what you already have.

- **Open world with friends**: Forza Horizon 6, on Xbox Series or PC.
- **Story and chaos**: GTA VI, on PS5 or Xbox Series.
- **Drifting**: JDM: Japanese Drift Master, or Drift Hunters on the web.
- **Something on Roblox**: Octane.
- **A car game that is not a race**: The Roam games below.

## Car games that are not races

Some of the best car games never show a finish line. You drive to deliver, to escape, to wreck, or to keep a car alive. These are on Roam now.

- **Rush Order**: Take the food order, hit the gas, get paid.
- **Steal Every Car**: A top-down car-theft sandbox. If it has wheels, it can be yours.
- **Last Bus Home**: One school bus and a street full of zombies.
- **Wreckyard Derby**: Six beat-up cars, one junkyard, two laps of demolition.
- **Fuel or Die**: Last fuel stop before the dead country. A road survival shooter in the A Dusty Trip mold.
- **Pixel Drift Rally**: Hold to drift, tap for nitro, pass them all.

- [Last Bus Home](https://roam.gg/play/last-bus-home/): Fuel up. Drive through them.
- [Wreckyard Derby](https://roam.gg/play/wreckyard-derby/): Six cars. Two laps. Lots of scrap.
- [Fuel or Die](https://roam.gg/play/fuel-or-die/): The tank is low and the road is long.

## Drive anything you can describe

A garbage truck, a lawnmower, your mom's minivan. Describe the car and the job, and Roam makes it a game on your iPhone. Roam is rated 13+ on the App Store.

Try: "drive a garbage truck through a zombie city, collect fuel cans, 3 lives, my dog rides shotgun"
