# New drift games

Drifting on a phone works when the game forgives you: hold to slide, let go to straighten. Here are the new and long-running drift games, how each one handles, and Roam drift racers you can play now, plus a way to drift through your own city.

## Drift games worth your time

- **JDM: Japanese Drift Master (Gaming Factory, 2025)**: An open-world drift game set on Japanese roads. Out on PC in May 2025, later on Xbox Series and PS5. Best on a pad.
- **Forza Horizon 6 (May 2026)**: Not a pure drift game, but it is set in Japan and has plenty of room to go sideways. Xbox Series and PC.
- **CarX Drift Racing 2 (CarX Technologies)**: The big mobile drift series. Tune the car, chase angle, drift in tandem with others.
- **Drift Hunters**: A well-known web drift game: buy cars, tune them, score points per slide.

## What makes drifting feel good on a phone

- **One input for the slide**: Hold to drift, release to grip. Anything more and thumbs get lost.
- **Wide corners**: Room to recover turns a mistake into a save, which feels great.
- **Points for angle and length**: Scoring style, not position, means every corner is its own small win.
- **Short runs**: A 60-second run is easy to retry. A 10-minute race on a phone is not.

## Drift racers on Roam

Sideways After Dark is a night drift racer: one purple car around a neon harbor, all sideways. Pixel Drift Rally is an arcade drift rally where you hold to drift and tap for nitro.

Want your own streets? Describe the city, the time of day and how you score. Roam builds the track around it.

## Drift through your own city

Name the streets, the car and the rules. Roam makes a drift game you play on iPhone, and friends can join the run. Roam is rated 13+ on the App Store.

Try: "night drift through the streets of my city, score for angle, cops chase if I hit traffic, friends can join"
