New soccer games, from sims to street football

The soccer games of late 2026 are EA Sports FC 27 and Football Manager 27, but the fun new ones are smaller: Rematch, Illegal Soccer and goat football on Roblox. Here is each type, what it plays like, and where to get a quick two-player match on a phone.

New soccer games by type

EA Sports FC 27: the full sim. Out September 25, 2026. Licensed clubs, Ultimate Team and career mode. The default if you want real players.
Football Manager 27: the manager. Out November 10, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, and on phones through Netflix. You pick the team and the tactics, the match plays out.
Rematch: one player each. Sloclap's 5v5 game from June 2025. Every person controls one player, so passing to a friend actually matters. A World Cup season with a Nations Cup started in June 2026.
Illegal Soccer: no referee. A Roblox game from May 2026. Four per side, gadgets like jetpacks and grappling hooks, slide tackles that would get you sent off anywhere else.
GOAT Football League: goats. A Roblox fall 2026 release from Red Wolves Studios. Fast multiplayer football played by teams of goats.

Two-player and phone soccer

For two people on one phone, short arcade matches beat full sims. Look for games with one-button shooting, matches under three minutes and a clear restart.

Roam is a free iPhone app with several of those. Own the Pitch is an arcade match in a full stadium. BONK BALL is team soccer with a giant ball. Street Football is five a side, ninety seconds, one dusty pitch. Blocky Penalty Shootout is aim, power and curve against the keeper. Squelch Cup is football in knee-deep mud, and Legless League is wobbly ragdoll players scoring real goals.
