What is new, and what you survive
- 99 Nights in the Forest (Roblox). Keep the campfire burning through the nights, craft defenses and rescue missing kids while creatures and cultists hunt in the trees.
- Subnautica 2 (Unknown Worlds, May 14, 2026). The deep-sea survival sequel, in early access for PC and Xbox Series. Oxygen, pressure and what lives below.
- Palworld (Pocketpair, 1.0 on July 10, 2026). Survival crafting with creatures called Pals that fight, farm and work your base. It left early access this summer with new areas and mechanics.
- Grounded 2 (Obsidian and Eidos-Montreal, July 29, 2025). Shrunk to bug size again, with bugs that want you gone. In early access on PC and Xbox, and on PS5 since August 2026.
- Don't Starve (Klei, 2013). The classic: hunger, sanity and the dark, all trying to end your run.
What makes survival work on a phone
Survival games on PC can take a whole evening to set up a base. On a phone the good ones cut to the core: one clear threat, one resource that runs out, and a night that ends. Last Light on Roam is exactly that: keep the fire burning through the night.
