The survival games people play in 2026 range from a Roblox forest at night to an alien ocean in early access. Here is what is new, what each one asks you to survive, and Roam survival games, plus a prompt to survive the map from your own nightmares.

## What is new, and what you survive

- **99 Nights in the Forest (Roblox)**: Keep the campfire burning through the nights, craft defenses and rescue missing kids while creatures and cultists hunt in the trees.
- **Subnautica 2 (Unknown Worlds, May 14, 2026)**: The deep-sea survival sequel, in early access for PC and Xbox Series. Oxygen, pressure and what lives below.
- **Palworld (Pocketpair, 1.0 on July 10, 2026)**: Survival crafting with creatures called Pals that fight, farm and work your base. It left early access this summer with new areas and mechanics.
- **Grounded 2 (Obsidian and Eidos-Montreal, July 29, 2025)**: Shrunk to bug size again, with bugs that want you gone. In early access on PC and Xbox, and on PS5 since August 2026.
- **Don't Starve (Klei, 2013)**: The classic: hunger, sanity and the dark, all trying to end your run.

## What makes survival work on a phone
