Shadow Fight 2 is a side-view fighting game with RPG upgrades by Nekki and Banzai Games. It soft-launched in October 2013 and came out worldwide on iOS and Android on May 1, 2014. Every fighter is a black silhouette, and you fight one-on-one with punches, kicks, weapons and magic.

## How fights work

You move with a joystick and attack with punch and kick buttons. Combine them with directions and you get different strikes, throws and weapon moves. A fight is best of several rounds, and the silhouettes make it all about reading poses and range.

The story starts when the hero opens the Gates of Shadows and lets six demons into his world. You fight across seven provinces, each with a main boss, and work toward the demons, including Titan.

Between fights you buy and upgrade weapons, armor, helmets and magic. Gear is the RPG half of the game: a better sword or armor can turn a fight you keep losing.


## Tips for tough bosses

- **Learn the range**: Every weapon has a sweet spot. Fight from it and step out after each hit.
- **Upgrade before you grind**: If a boss feels impossible, better gear is often the fix.
- **Save magic for openings**: Ranged and magic attacks hit hardest when the enemy just missed.
- **Watch the pose**: Silhouettes show the windup clearly. Block or dodge on the windup, not the hit.

## Platforms and Roam fighting games

Shadow Fight 2 is on iOS and Android, came to Windows in 2015 and to Nintendo Switch in September 2018. The series continued with Shadow Fight 3.

On Roam, Crimson Hunt is a side-view sword-fighting brawler: parry the white, roll from the red. Split Second is a 1v1 arena melee duel: read the swing, answer it faster. Both are separate games, not Shadow Fight.
