# Smash Karts: the kart battle game, explained

Smash Karts is a multiplayer kart battle game by Tall Team, released in 2020. You drive around an arena, grab weapons from mystery boxes and blow up the other karts. It is not a race. The player with the most kills when the clock runs out wins.

## How a match works

You join a match with other players and spawn somewhere in the arena. Boxes are scattered around the map. Drive through one and you get a random weapon, like rockets, mines or a machine gun. Hit another kart and it explodes, and you get the point. Get hit and you respawn after a moment.

Matches are short, so you are back in the action fast. Winning and playing earn experience that unlocks new karts, hats and wheels. You can also make a private room and send the code to friends.


## Tips to win more rounds

- **Always hold a weapon**: Driving empty-handed makes you a target. Grab the next box on your route.
- **Lead your shots**: Rockets need you to aim where the other kart is going, not where it is.
- **Drop mines in choke points**: Ramps, corners and box spots are where karts bunch up.
- **Keep moving**: A stopped kart is the easiest kill in the game.
- **Learn the maps**: Knowing where boxes respawn wins more than fast fingers.

## Kart games on Roam

Mob Kart Mayhem is a kart racer with blocky karts, item boxes and a four-race cup. Kart Rush Online lets you pick a driver and race six karts over three laps. Both lean more toward racing than pure arena battle, so if you want the Smash Karts style, ask Roam for an arena with weapon boxes instead of a track.

Smash Karts itself is played on its own site and app, not on Roam.
