Sprunki is a fan-made mod of Incredibox, a music game where you drag sounds onto a row of characters to build a song. Each character sings or plays one loop. Mix them and you get a track. Fans later made many versions called phases, some of them spooky.

## What Incredibox is

Incredibox is a music game by So Far So Good, a small studio from France, first released in 2009. You pick beats, effects, melodies and voices and drop them on beatboxers. It is used in schools to teach rhythm.

In 2024 a fan known as NyankoBfLol made Sprunki, a mod with new colourful characters and sounds. It spread on YouTube and TikTok and pulled in a huge kid crowd. It is not made by the Incredibox team.


## How a Sprunki mix works

- **Pick a character**: Each one is a sound: a kick, a hum, a melody, a voice.
- **Stack them**: Add more to build layers. Remove one to hear the gap.
- **Find combos**: Some mixes unlock bonus animations, which is a big reason kids replay.
- **Save and share**: Many versions let you record your mix and show friends.

## What the phases are

Fans keep making new Sprunki versions and number them as phases. Early phases are bright and cheerful. Some later phases switch to a horror look, with scary sounds and dark art. Parents of young kids may want to check which phase is on screen.

The trend has cooled a bit in 2026, but kids still mix in it, and making your own beats never gets old.
