# Supermarket Simulator: run a corner store and grow it

Source: https://roam.new/supermarket-simulator/

Supermarket Simulator is a first-person store management game by Nokta Games, a small studio from Turkey. It entered Steam Early Access in February 2024 and reached version 1.0 in June 2025. You start with an empty shop and grow it into a full supermarket, one box of stock at a time.

## The store loop

Version 1.0 added online orders that you pack and ship from the store.

- **Order stock**: Use the computer to buy products. Boxes are delivered outside your door.
- **Fill the shelves**: Carry the boxes in, open them and stack items on the right shelves.
- **Set prices**: Price too high and customers complain. Price too low and you lose money.
- **Check out**: Scan items at the till, take cash or card, and give the right change.
- **Grow**: Buy licenses for new products, expand the floor, and hire staff to help.

## Why it got so popular

Every task is small and clear, and you can see your progress on the shelves. That makes it easy to play for a while and then a bit longer. The first-person view makes small jobs, like stacking cereal boxes neatly, feel satisfying. It had tens of thousands of reviews on Steam before it even left Early Access, and it inspired many other store and shop sims.

## Where to play and tips

Supermarket Simulator is a paid PC game on Steam. Nokta has announced console versions, including one for Nintendo Switch 2. Pages offering a free mobile download of the full game are not from Nokta. As the store grows, frozen and chilled products need fridges and freezers, so plan floor space for them.

- **Fill popular items first**: Empty shelves make customers leave without buying.
- **Check market prices daily**: Costs change, so update your labels.
- **Hire a cashier early**: It frees you to restock while the line moves.

## Shop sims on Roam

Eat the Customers is a shop sim on Roam with a twist: stock the shelves, smile at the fish, then eat the fish. Forge Master is a blacksmith shop where you take the order, fire the forge and get paid. Both are Roam games, not Supermarket Simulator.

Try: "corner store at night, stock the shelves, set prices, scan at the till, a raccoon steals snacks if I am slow, my friends are the customers"
