# Volleyball Legends: anime volleyball on Roblox

Volleyball Legends is a Roblox volleyball game inspired by the anime Haikyuu!!, made by the group Volleyball Game Group. It came out in late 2024 under the name Haikyuu Legends and was renamed in early 2025. You pick a style with special abilities and play fast team matches with serves, sets, spikes and blocks.

## How a match works

Two teams face each other across the net. You move your player, read where the ball will land and time your actions: bump to receive, set to put the ball up for a teammate, spike to attack and jump to block. A clean rally needs the whole team, which is why matches with friends feel so much better than with random players.

Timing is everything. A spike at the top of the jump hits harder and is harder to dig. A late block does nothing. Most of the skill is learning the rhythm of the ball.


## What styles are

Styles are the core of the game. Each style gives your player a set of abilities and changes how you play: stronger spikes, better jumps, faster movement or special moves. Many styles are based on Haikyuu!! characters, and later updates added rare secret styles, some of them original characters made by the developers.

Players argue a lot about which styles are best, and tier lists change with every update as styles are added and balanced.


## Tips for better play

- **Learn to receive first**: A team that cannot bump the serve never gets to spike.
- **Call for the ball**: Two players going for one ball is the most common lost point.
- **Mix your spikes**: Hitting the same angle every time makes blocking easy.
- **Pick a style for your role**: A setter and a spiker want different abilities.
