Where clickers come from
Clickers are one of the oldest web game formats. Cookie Clicker by Orteil came out in 2013 and made the loop famous: click a cookie, buy a grandma who bakes for you, buy a factory, watch the number grow. Clicker Heroes and Game Hive's Tap Titans 2 later put the same loop on phones with monsters to hit.
