Cut the Rope: swing the candy into Om Nom's mouth
Cut the Rope is a physics puzzle game by ZeptoLab, released for iOS on October 4, 2010 and first published by Chillingo. A candy hangs from ropes, and you swipe to cut them so it swings, drops or floats into the mouth of Om Nom, a small green monster. It became one of the best-known App Store puzzle games.
How a level works
Each level is one screen. The candy hangs from one or more ropes, and Om Nom waits somewhere below or to the side. Swipe through a rope to cut it, and gravity and the swing do the rest. Cut in the wrong order and the candy flies off screen.
Three stars float around the level. Feeding Om Nom finishes it, but collecting all three stars on the way is the real puzzle. New tools show up as you go: bubbles that float the candy up, air cushions that push it, spikes that break it, and more.
Timing matters as much as order. Many three-star solutions need a cut at the exact moment the candy swings past a star.
