Natural Disaster Survival: one map, one disaster, stay alive
Natural Disaster Survival is one of the oldest games on Roblox, made by Stickmasterluke in 2008. Every round puts players on a small map and throws a random disaster at it. If you are still standing when it ends, you survive the round. That is the whole game, and it still works.
How a round works
A map loads, maybe a town, an island or an apartment block. You get a few seconds to look around. Then the game announces the disaster, sometimes two at once. Buildings break, water rises, things fall from the sky. You have to read what is coming and move to the right spot.
Survivors earn points, and the next round starts on a new map with a new disaster. There is no shooting and no enemies, just physics and decisions. The maps are small and familiar, so after a few rounds you learn the safe spots on each one, and the fun comes from disasters that make your favorite spot useless.
Disasters and what to do
- Flood and tsunami. Get high. Cliffs and hilltops are safer than buildings, which can collapse.
- Acid rain. Get under any roof or overhang. The rain looks normal at first but has a green tint.
- Meteor shower. Stay in open, flat ground away from buildings that can fall on you.
- Tornado. Keep moving away from it and avoid loose objects.
- Fire and volcano. Head away from the source and keep to stone and open ground.
- Earthquake. Get out of tall buildings and away from anything that can fall. Open ground is safest.
A flood escape on Roam
- Climb or Drown. A separate Roam game in first person: the water is rising and the door is closing. It turns the flood round into a full escape.
