Rivals on Roblox: modes, loadouts and duels
Rivals is a competitive shooter on Roblox from Nosniy Games, out since 2024. You pick a loadout, drop into a small arena and play duels from 1v1 up to 5v5. The first side to win five rounds takes the match.
How a Rivals match works
Before a match you set a loadout: a primary weapon, a secondary, a melee and a utility item like a grenade. Rounds are short. Win a round by taking out the other side, and the first to five wins the duel.
Because every round restarts with full health and the same loadout, a match is about aim and decisions, not grinding. That is why it works well on phones and why it climbed to the top of Roblox shooters.
Wins and losses also feed a ranked ladder, so after a few warm-up games most players stick to ranked duels. Weapon skins and wraps are cosmetic only. They change how a gun looks, not how it shoots, so a new player is not behind on power.
Modes in Rivals
- Duels. 1v1 up to 5v5, first to five rounds. There is a 2v2 mode aimed at beginners.
- Three-way fights. 1v1v1 and 2v2v2, where three sides fight in the same arena.
- Free-for-all and team modes. Looser modes for warming up and trying weapons.
- Limited-time modes. Rotating modes such as Head Honcho, where each team must take out the other team's leader.
Loadout tips
- One gun you trust. Pick a primary you can aim with every round, not the one that looked cool in a video.
- Utility wins rounds. A grenade or flash at the right moment breaks a stand-off.
- Play the small maps. Arenas are tight, so learn two or three angles per map.
- Watch the replay in your head. After a lost round, ask where the shot came from. Most rounds are lost to the same angle twice.
