Teardown: plan the heist by breaking everything

Teardown is a voxel destruction game by the Swedish studio Tuxedo Labs. It went into early access on Steam in October 2020 and fully released on April 21, 2022. Everything in its world is made of small blocks, and every wall, roof and car can be broken. The campaign turns that into heists.

How a Teardown heist works

A mission gives you a set of targets to grab or destroy. The catch is the alarm. Picking up the first target starts a short timer, and you need to reach every other target and your escape car before it runs out.

So you prepare first, with no clock running. You knock holes through walls, drive a truck through a fence, build ramps from planks and move vehicles into place. When the route is ready, you take the first target and run your path. Planning often takes longer than the run itself, and a good plan makes the final sprint look easy.

Outside the campaign there is a sandbox mode with no rules, and a large mod scene on PC. Teardown reached PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in November 2023, and a free online multiplayer update for up to 12 players came to consoles in September 2026.
