Forsaken on Roblox: how the killer and survivor rounds work
Forsaken is an asymmetrical horror game on Roblox, heavily inspired by Dead by Daylight. Each round one player is the killer and everyone else is a survivor. Survivors win by staying alive until the round timer hits zero, and the killer wins by catching them all first.
How a round works
Everyone spawns on a map and the clock starts high. Survivors bring it down by finishing objectives, mostly fixing generators, and a typical map has five of them. Every finished generator brings the end of the round closer.
The killer has a set of abilities and hunts by chasing, cornering and punishing mistakes. Survivors have abilities too, so a good team can stall the killer while someone else works on a generator. Rounds are short, usually five to ten minutes.
When only one survivor is left, the round turns into Last Man Standing, a final chase where that player has to hold out alone.
Characters you will meet
A big part of Forsaken's pull is its cast. Many characters come from old Roblox lore and memes, so longtime players recognize them right away. Guides usually point new killers to Jason, the starter killer, or to c00lkidd. John Doe is another killer from the Roblox legends.
What makes a killer vs survivors game work
If you want to build your own version, these are the parts that matter. Get them right and the rounds feel tense instead of unfair.
- A clock survivors can shorten. It gives them a reason to work, not just hide.
- A killer who is strong but readable. Survivors need a warning sound, a light or a pattern to react to.
- Places to break line of sight. Walls, doors and corners turn a chase into a game.
- A last-survivor moment. A final one-on-one makes even a lost round end on a high.
