R.E.P.O.: carry it out, and do not break it
R.E.P.O. is a co-op horror game by semiwork, in Steam Early Access since February 2025. Up to six players are robots sent into creepy locations to haul valuables to an extraction point. Everything runs on physics, so a dropped vase loses value, and monsters hunt you while you carry it.

How a level works
Each level gives your team a money quota. You search the map for valuables, from small trinkets to items so big they need several robots, pick them up with a physics grab and carry them to the extraction point. Bumping an item into a wall knocks money off its value. Smash it and it is gone.
Hit the quota and you leave. Between levels you spend the money on upgrades like stronger grip, more health and better stamina. The quotas grow, and so do the monsters.
Why it is fun with friends
Big items need two or three robots, and carrying a fragile thing together while something chases you is the whole joke. Proximity voice chat means you hear friends panic down the hall. If a robot dies, the others can bring its head back to revive it.
It plays like a mix of Lethal Company's loot run and a physics comedy.
Tips
- Carry slowly. Speed costs money. Take turns gently, especially through doors.
- Clear the route first. Find the path to extraction before you pick up the big stuff.
- Hide, do not fight. Most monsters are better avoided. Duck into a room and stay quiet.
- Upgrade grip and stamina. They make every carry safer for the rest of the run.
